چکیده

Climate predictions using recent and high-resolution climate models are becoming important for effective decision-making designing appropriate change adaptation mitigation strategies. Due to highly variable data scarcity of the upper Blue Nile Basin, previous studies did not detect specific unified trends. This study discusses, past future projections under CMIP6-SSPs scenarios basin. For models’ validation selection, reanalysis were used after comparing with area-averaged ground observational data. Quantile mapping systematic bias correction Mann–Kendall trend test applied evaluate trends selected CMIP6 during 21st century. Results revealed that, ERA5 temperature GPCC precipitation have best agreement basin data, MRI-ESM2-0 BCC-CSM-2MR based on their highest performance. The mean annual maximum near (long)-term period shows an increase 1.1 (1.5) °C, 1.3 (2.2) 1.2 (2.8) 1.5 (3.8) °C four SSPs. On other hand, show slightly (statistically insignificant) increasing periods by 5.9 (6.1)%, 12.8 (13.7)%, 9.5 (9.1)%, 17.1(17.7)% SSPs scenarios.

Modeling Current and Future Potential Distributions of Caspian Pond Turtle (Mauremys caspica) under Climate Change Scenarios

Although turtles are the most threatened taxonomic group within the reptile class, we have a very limited understanding of how turtles respond to climate change. Here, we evaluated the effects of climate changes on the geographical distribution of Caspian pond turtle (Mauremys caspica). We used an ensemble approach by combining six species distribution models including artificial neural network...

Uncertainty Investigation of Precipitation and Temperature Scenarios for the Sira Basin under Climate Change Impact

Results of assessment of the future climate change impacts is associated with some uncertainties. Considering the range of uncertainties increases reliability of the results. In this study, climate change impacts on daily precipitation, maximum and minimum temperature of Sira basin are assessed using LARS-WG model, for 2036-65 period. Accordingly, uncertainty of new emissions scenarios (RCP2.6،...

Suitability of European climate for the Asian tiger mosquito Aedes albopictus: recent trends and future scenarios

The Asian tiger mosquito (Aedes albopictus) is an invasive species that has the potential to transmit infectious diseases such as dengue and chikungunya fever. Using high-resolution observations and regional climate model scenarios for the future, we investigated the suitability of Europe for A. albopictus using both recent climate and future climate conditions. The results show that southern F...

Simulation and Validation of Cisco Lethal Conditions in Minnesota Lakes under Past and Future Climate Scenarios Using Constant Survival Limits

Fish habitat in lakes is strongly constrained by water temperature (T) and available dissolved oxygen (DO) that are changed under climate warming. A one dimensional, dynamic water quality model MINLAKE2012 was used for T and DO simulation over 48 years. A fish habitat model FishHabitat2013 using simulated T and DO profiles as input was developed to determine lethal conditions of cisco Corgenous...
